Following the Best FIFA Football Awards, Dan Austin and Joel Rabinowitz of Liverpool.com look back on a great night for Liverpool FC in Milan.
But could and should have it been greater after Virgil van Dijk was beaten to The Best FIFA Men's Player award by Barcelona's Lionel Messi?
The consolation was that Alisson claimed The Best FIFA Men's Goalkeeper honour while Jurgen Klopp was named The Best FIFA Men’s Coach after leading Liverpool to Champions League glory.
But it was Klopp's acceptance speech, in which he confirmed he was signing up for Juan Mata's Common Goal charity, that attracted as much attention.
